AED Use: - How to use an AED in conjunction with CPR. - Safety precautions and proper pad placement. 3. Team Dynamics and Communication: - Strategies for working effectively in a team during a resuscitation attempt. - Clear roles and communication techniques. 4. Relief of Choking: - Procedures for assisting a choking adult, child, or infant. 5. Bag-Mask Ventilation: - Proper use of a bag-mask device to provide ventilations. 6. COURSE FORMAT Instructor-Led Training: Includes hands-on practice with manikins and AED trainers under the supervision of certified instructors. Certification: Upon successful completion of the course, participants receive an electronic certification card (eCard) from the AHA. ECARD FEATURES - Validity: The eCard is valid for 2 years from the date of course completion. - Accessibility: The eCard can be accessed online, making it easy to retrieve and present proof of certification. - Verification: Employers and credentialing organizations can verify the authenticity of the eCard through the AHA's online portal.
